Honey Oatmeal Bread

Servings 2 loaves


  • 1 3/4 C lukewarm water
  • 2 packs dry yeast
  • 1 beaten eggs
  • 1/3 C shortening

  • 1/2 C Dutch Gold Wildflower Honey
  • 1 C rolled oats
  • 2 C whole wheat flour
  • 3 1/2 C all-purpose flour


  1. Beat all ingredients except all-purpose flour together with mixer for 2 minutes. Stir in all-purpose until mixture leaves sides of bowl. Allow to rise in bowl until it doubles in size. Punch down and allow to rise again. Punch down and shape into 2 loaves. Put on greased bread pans and allow to rise. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
